My name is Charles McGibney
I'am an instructor of Original Jeet Kune Do (JKD)
I now run Bristol JKD and offer JKD lessons in the form of classes or private 1-1 tuition.
I am a 3rd Generation instructor with 20+ years of Jeet Kune Do experience under Tommy Carruthers of the Intercepting Fist Organisation (IFO) Glasgow, Scotland. .

After years of absence Original Jeet Kune Do classes are available again in Bath, Somerset! Bath JKD-IFO teaches Bruce Lee's authentic art of Original Jeet Kune Do, with no mixing of styles you find in 95% of other 'JKD' clubs. Under the direction of Sifu Tommy Carruthers of Scotland the Intercepting Fist Organisation (IFO) is dedicated to preserving Bruce Lee's true legacy.....Join us and be a part of it!
The instructor is 3rd Generation under Sifu Tommy with 20+ years of Original JKD experience aswell as considerable time spent in Boxing, Thai Boxing, Wing Chun, Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu Fencing, and Krav Maga.

Everyone is taught from the ground up in a progressive thoughtful manner at their own pace in a safe and friendly environment.
Emphasis is placed on balance and mobility, footwork and evasion, lead hand and foot striking, deceptiveness, precise distance and timing, sensual awareness (visual, audio, tactile) and learning to attack and defend with broken rhythm from Bi Jong or natural. You will learn the hand, foot and body "tools" of JKD and in time learn to use them instinctively and automatically to counter threat and aggression.
It goes without saying your fitness, confidence and self esteem will be dramatically boosted through our classes, and aswell as many physical challenges expect mental challenges along the way!
