Experience
I am French but have been living in Manchester for the past 15 years, working in education as an art technician and French-language assistant and supporting students with learning difficulties. I am DBS-checked. I have taught French to adults and secondary-school pupils and led GCSE revision sessions. I have also taught children in after-school clubs. I used to be the localisation team leader in a video-game studio, supervising the games' translations and the localisation tests. Now I am also a jeweller and mother and am passionate in literature, art, and crafts.
Lesson Description
After I have evaluated the level, needs, and interests of the student, I develop tailor-made sessions that help the student learn French in fun and engaging ways. In a typical session I go through revisions from the previous sessions and then introduce a new topic or lesson. We work through it together using relevant books, films, cartoon scenes, music and art. I encourage the student to engage in guided conversations in French throughout the session to develop confidence. I am always open to requests for the next scheduled session. I have relevant and up-to-date material for GCSE revisions.
