Claire was born in Edinburgh in 1985. She graduated in 2007 with a Bmus honours performance degree from Napier University’s ‘Ian Tomlin School of Music.’
Working with renowned conductors such as Garry Walker, En Shao, and Neemi Jarvi, Claire has performed with many orchestras and ensembles. She has been principal trombone with the Band of the 52nd Lowland Brigade, Napier University Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Band, Napier Brass, and the Central Band of the British Legion Scotland.
While orchestral performance has taken Claire on tours of the United Kingdom and Europe, she also played with the Edinburgh Youth Orchestra for their 40th anniversary tour of Russia and the Baltic States.
Her military and wind band playing has seen Claire play in many venues across Scotland, as well as in France and Germany.
Claire continues to perform regularly with the Central Band of the British Legion Scotland, and work with various theatre companies around Edinburgh.
