Dan White
Dan graduated from Birmingham University in 2004 with Bmus(Hons) before completing his Postgraduate studies at Trinity College of music, for which he was awarded the Leverhulme scholarship. Whilst at TCM Dan was principle trumpet of the symphony orchestra and chamber orchestra.
Dan is a member of SE10 brass, which was awarded the proclaimed Philip Jones Brass Ensemble Prize in 2006, and also regularly performs recitals with the Bravura Trumpet Trio and Marine 5 Brass quintet.
Dan enjoys a varied freelance career including engagements with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and The Elgar Chamber Orchestra. Dan has also appeared live on BBC radio 3, and recorded for Channel 4 and the Louise single ‘something more’.
Dan is frequently involved in Education workshops, such as the Philharmonia Orchestras' 'Symphony Days' and BBC proms brass day. He is a lead tutor for Lambeth and Wandsworth Music services as part of their wider opportunities projects.
Dan is a passionate teacher and is keen to pass on his experiences to students of all ages and abilities.
