Derek Hartwell

I am a teacher of music holding the following diplomas:
A.R.C.M. in organ (performing and teaching)
A.R.C.O.
A.L.C.M.in piano playing.
Non-musically I hold a B.A. Honours Degree in Philosophy of the University of Nottingham.
All my teaching is conducted in my music room at my home in Sutton-in-Ashfield : piano lessons on a grand piano and organ lessons on a 3-manual classical-voiced digital organ.
My teaching career began over 40 years ago in the 1960s and has continued since. I have also nearly 50 years'experience as a church organist and choirmaster,having now retired from holding an organ post but continuing to deputise periodically when engaged to do so.
