Avinash has a background in medicine and has been practising mindfulness meditation since 1992. He is also an ordained Buddhist with interests in mind-body integrative medicine and the holistic approach towards health and wellbeing.
In his teaching and training mindfulness, he brings together both an eastern meditative and contemplative approach and western clinical evidence based scientific approach which adds to the uniqueness of Mindfullybeing. Avinash holds a postgraduate certificate in mindfulness based approaches (MBA’s) from Bangor University, UK. Avinash delivers and directs the mindfulness programmes for the public and for organisations including: Scottish Mental Health Executive, NHS Scotland staff and patients, Edinburgh University and Queen Margaret University staff and students.

Foundation Training helps you to systematically develop the skill of being present with your experience. This course aims to assist you in dealing with what can be stressful and challenging for you and helps you to take better care of yourself and get the most out of your life. The aim of the programme is to learn new ways to handle challenging physical sensations, feelings, moods or social interactions.
The basic foundation course consists of :
Eight weekly sessions of two and a half hours,
Mindful communication within the group,
Regular mindfulness practice,
Saturday All Day Session,
Course manual and CD’s for guidance.

Dr. Avinash Bansode has a background in Medicine, qualified as a GP from India he has been practicing mindfulness meditation for last eighteen years. Avinash is also an ordained Buddhist and has spend ten years practicing, living and working in Buddhist Meditation Retreat Centers both in India and UK.
Avinash has always been interested in Mind-Body Integrative Medicine and a more holistic approach towards Health and Well-being; focusing on Healing rather than 'Cure' and 'Fixing' health conditions. In his teachings and training people in Mindfulness and Kindness, he brings the Eastern Meditative and Complative Approaches to integrate with the Western Psychology and Scientific Medical traditions.
Avinash has Postgraduate Certificate in Mindfulness Based Apporaches from Bangor University in Wales, UK. He has offered numerous Mindfulness programmes for the members of the Public and Corporate Staff. Some of the recipients of his Mindfulness Programme include: Scottish Mental Health Executives, NHS Scotland Staff and Patients, Edinburgh University Staff and Students. Avinash is married and is now based in Edinburgh, teaching and training people and professionals in Mindfulness Based Approaches.
