Emily Finn
Emily is trained Art teacher having obtained her PGCE and has led a busy prep school Art department, as well as regularly tutoring Art GCSE students. She trained at Winchester School of Art, and Leeds College of Art, and has worked in industry as a freelance designer selling designs to clients such as Nicole Farhi, Whistles, Paperchase and Hallmark Cards. Her artwork has been exhibited at the ICA in London, Flannels in Leeds, and The Public Gallery in West Bromwich, and featured on various design blogs such as Print & Pattern. Emily received a Design Fellowship at the University of Leeds, and has been an artist-in-residence at The ArtsDepot in North London. Her work focuses on layers of textured drawings and vivid colours, inspired by natural imagery with shells, grasses and floral motifs, combined with ideas of boats and landscapes. She works in a variety of media such as printed textiles, silver and porcelain, illustration and paintings. Her hand-drawn illustrations feature mark-making, screen-printing and procion dye washes, which are then developed into textile designs to be digitally printed on paper, silk and canvas. THE SMALL PRINT
First lesson half price as a trial for new students. FEES negotiable depending on age and location. Tuition booked must be paid ahead of lesson so that I can source materials. I can teach individually or in small groups and am happy to travel and do longer sessions eg whole days in school holidays. I also run classes and workshops in Tisbury, Wiltshire.I have full public liability insurance and full DBS safeguarding certificate.
