Beginners Knitting
Much like the women of the 1950’s, women of the information age are resorting to age old crafts to make creative, beautiful and affordable pieces for themselves and their home. From knitting, to crochet, to decouptage you can learn the foundations of all these crafts at Afternoon Tea at dreamspace gallery in one day starting with Beginners Knitting on May 30th 2009.
Afternoon Tea was created by Chloe Brooks and Emily Griffiths who wanted to develop their love of crafts but couldn’t afford to pursue it with high class prices. Using the boutique design gallery, dreamspace, and sourcing all teachers and materials themselves, Brooks and Griffiths were able to keep prices low. Aiming to create a crafty forum where people can learn, nibble and natter with like minded folk, Afternoon Tea aims to be a vintage inspired creative force to be reckoned with.
With accomplished teachers, tea and coffee, vintage films, and all tools included you’ll leave with knit one purl one as your mantra; cake and crafts will become the new way to spend your Saturday afternoon.
For the opportunity attend one of these classes, please email Emily at [email protected] and register your interest. With day long sessions priced at £40 including tools, Afternoon Tea is going to be amongst the cheapest, but chicest ways to make and create.
