Bio from recent concert (28/11/09, Cambridge University)

The American violinist Eugene Feygelson completed his undergraduate studies at the Eastman School of Music where he was a student of Oleh Krysa, a teaching assistant of David Oistrakh. He has also recently completed the MPhil course in Music at the University of Cambridge for which he received a mark of distinction.

Recent highlights include a solo recital at the opening of the 2009 Festival of Ernest Bloch at St.Martin-in-the-Fields Church and a concert appearance as soloist in J.S. Bach’s Double Violin Concerto with the Cambridge Bach Players at Trinity College, Cambridge.

An advocate for contemporary music, he has premiered works by composers Todd Kramer, Marcus Macauley, Jonathan Graybill, Jairo Duarte-Lopez, and Christopher Winders; he has also been a member of the Oxbow String Quartet, Cambridge Bach Players, Jeune Orchestre d'Atlantique, and Ensemblehaus Freiburg Orchester.
