Hi!
I’m Eva Drammis, an Italian mezzosoprano graduated at the Conservatory of Music "Vincenzo Bellini" of Palermo (Sicily)and an actress graduated at the "Accademia dei Filodrammatici" of Milan (Italy), with 15 years of professional theatre experience.

My vocal teaching approach is clear:
- Singing is happiness and technique.
- Singing is fun, but requires concentration and care.

My teaching technique is simple and It’s founded on four basic concepts:
1 - Voce in maschera (Mask voice): The voice has to resound in your face and not in your throat (Italian Bel Canto bedrock).
2 - Deep and natural breath: No effort when you take the breath.
3 - Be patient and relaxed: With careful study you can see results soon.
4 - Each student is different : I don't use the same approach for all. I listen to your specific needs and let your personal qualities shine.

I can help you:
- starting with the basic lyric training
- starting with basic voice training for pop music
- improving your singing technique
- improving the wellness of voice and throat (including the spoken voice)
- improving your Italian Opera pronunciation
My rate is 25 £ per lesson (1 hour long) or 90 £ per 4 lessons
Trial lesson is half price.
Feel free to send me an email specifying your requirements, location, availability and contacts. I’ll evaluate your needs and call you or write you back.

The lessons can be delivered in English, Spanish and Italian

Experience

Actress, singer, Professor assistent

Since the age of twelve, I attended the Theatre Academy ‘Toselli’ in my city, Cuneo.
At 21 I graduated from the prestigious ‘Accademia dei Filodrammatici’ in Milan where I was chosen amongst hundreds of aspirant students.
Even before graduating I was offered a part with the ‘Teatro Stabile di Sardegna’ in ‘The impostures of Scapin’ by Moliere , directed by well known director Sergio Fantoni with Paolo Bonacelli. At this point I initiates my professional acting career and completes her first nationwide tour.
I then worked with theatres such as the ‘Teatro della Tosse’ of Genoa and experimental theatre companies such as the association ‘Urlo’ in Rome and ‘Nike’ in Cefalù. In 2004 a collaboration lasting nine years with the ‘Society of the Teatro Stabile di Palermo’ begins. I played key roles in over 25 productions, including Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ in the role of Ophelia with over 120 performances in national theatres and Chekhov’s ‘Uncle Vanya’ " in the role of Sonja. I also performed several monologues within the seasonal program including Peter Handke’s ‘Public insult’ and the poem ‘Joan of Arc’ by Maurizio Cucchi (as a national premiere). I also participates in several productions for the Italian and Swiss television including ‘Bittersweet’ Italian TV RAI.
Since 2008 I studied singing at the Conservatory of Music ‘V. Bellini’ in Palermo obtaining a Diploma in Vocal Chamber Music in 2013.
Since 2012, I have been teaching acting and music holding courses at the ‘Opera Pia Children School’ in Palermo and at the ‘Institute Paritario Imera’ also in Palermo.
In 2013, I am appointed assistant to Maestro John Mazzara at the Conservatory ‘V. Bellini’. In this temporary role as a scenic artist I oversaw the acting performance of singers in operas such as ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’ by Giovanni Paisiello. In addition, I held acting seminars for musicians and I also taught Italian diction and phonetics for singers.
