I offer a range of relaxing workshops based around plants and textiles, including the use of Natural Dyes on wool fleece and yarn, using local and rare breed fleece. If you wish you can bring samples of other fibres to try, but please check first. Most of the natural dyes are from plants grown in my garden near the Northumberland National Park or gathered from the nearby lanes and river banks. The dyed wool can then be used to weave a Peg Loom mat or wall hanging.
Weaving is also taught on Brinkley and frame looms and you can learn how to make Felt from scratch or produce vessels and cobweb scarves, also discover needle felting on a Felt Making day.
I also offer days showing how to make Traditional Herbal Skincare products with simple natural ingredients and cottage garden herbs and Papermaking with a range of fibres, petals and herbs.
Prices include all materials & light refreshments, just bring lunch. Previous experience not necessary.
