My name is Gillian Menichino and I am from the United States. I have been teaching music privately for 2 years now (in the UK and USA).

I hold a Bachelors degree(BMus) from the University of Montana in music composition and music technology, a Masters degree(MMus) in music composition and contemporary music, and Postgraduate Diploma(PGDip)in music composition as well from the Royal Northern College of Music. I will begin my PhD in music composition at the Royal Northern College of Music in September 2010.

I have been playing the violin and studying privately for 12 years and was a violinist for the Helena Symphony, Missoula Symphony, and University of Montana Symphony orchestras.

I have written compositions for various recitals, RNCM events, and festivals including: the Mountain Computer Music Festival (Sept. 16, 2005), the Steve Mackey Festival(June 2008), and the James MacMillan Festival(June 2009).

I am aiming to teach to and share with my students the value of music. It is my passion and I hope to share my enthusiasm to inspire others. Whether you are looking to pass an exam, to learn out of interest, or to prepare for further study in music, I will support you in the best way possible as someone who is hard working and dependable. I will provide you with the necessary support to help you reach your desired goal!
