GRC Percussion offers One To One tuition for the drum kit and tuned percussion, for all ages and standards with a more personalised approach.

Tuition is given in all aspects and styles, from modern to classical with students choosing there own personalised tuition direction. Tuition combines practical musicianship and reading skills incorporated into improvisation training. All students have the opportunity to undertake professional recognised examinations to obtain relative qualifications, GRC Percussion holds a 100% pass rate with all students which have entered into such exams: please note this is optional with no presser given to study such exams. Success goes to strength to strength. As well as tuition Glenn hosts celebrity workshops with such international drummers as Chad Smith RHCP , Dennis Chambers :Santana , Gregg Bissonett : Toto : Steve White : Paul Weller.

Learn to play the drum kit at GRC Drum and percussion Fully Endorsed Tuition Studios (see above.) Many Drum techniques are covered such as sticking/reading and writing drum notation/timing with clicks and music independence and co-ordination/rudiments solo skills and most importantly improvisation. Learn to utilise Click Tracks, Sequencers, Loops, CDs, Tapes and songs minus drums and become familiar with all the skills necessary in the modern world of drumming and most of all to have fun during learning.

What you will learn
You Will Learn; Reading and writing of drum notation, Musical Theory, Rudiments and stick control, playing along to your favourite bands, phrasing around the kit, playing to click tracks/sequencers, syncopation in rhythm, solo improvisation, odd time signatures and polyrhythms, co-ordination and independence, linear phrasing, musical experience in all styles, recording techniques. You can also attend our Workshops with professional celebrity drummers and gain grades with our guildhall nationally recognised exams (100% pass rate). Lessons are booked in 60min or 30min slots.

The absolute beginner is welcomed here and can feel at ease, knowing that they will not be overwhelmed while learning at their speed and ability.

Intermediate and advanced players will find teachers equal to the task of guiding them through more sophisticated musical instruction.

Perfect for students who want to learn to play along with their favourite songs or as part of a band. The guitar is a versatile and creative instrument and this course is designed with that in mind. Guitar students can learn to read music, read from Tab, or play by ear
