I studied at Trinity College of Music and the Royal College of Music International Opera School I have taught singing in London, County Durham and Cambridgeshire (Peterborough Regional College as lecturer in Singing and Music Drama). The teaching encompasses classical technique, song interpretation, foreign language coaching (German, French and Italian) and stage/platform presentation. With styles including Oratorio/Opera, Art Song and Popular.

My students have varied from beginners to diploma standard and from children to adults.

I have worked and studied with coaches and singers of international reputation including: Graziella Sciutti, Adele Leigh, Graham Clark, John Wakefield, Claudio Desderi, Norman Bailey and Sir Geraint Evans.

Performing/Recording Experience

I have worked regularly as a soloist for various professional companies since 1988, including Pavilion Opera, Carl Rosa, Travelling Opera, The Vienna Festival and Dublin Grand Opera. I have performed as a soloist all over the UK, France , New Zealand and Australia. Venues have included Southwark Cathedral, Barbican Concert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Le Cigal, Paris. I have made recordings in shows, opera and oratorio - conductors have included Kent Nagano, Ivan Fischer and Sir Georg Solti.

My performance repertoire ranges from Montiverdi to Tippet and from Gilbert and Sullivan to West End show.

Other Relevant Experience

I have studied acting in the Lee Strasbourg, Laban and traditional techniques including Shakespeare with Timothy West. I have also directed for the Travelling Opera Summer School and have experience of managing my own opera company 1984 - 1989.
