I-Chin Li

As a musician and teacher based in south-east London, I teach pupils of all ages and all levels during the past years. Mainly I teach classical piano, music theory, composition, and music technology. I compose and play the music together with different theatre and dance companies. I write for many instruments in different genre, including classical, contemporary, and jazz fusion. I also play with different ethnic music groups from Indian to Chinese. I believe this experience helps me to teach my pupils according to their interests and strength. I also think it is very important to set aim for each pupil, by building a solid technique as a foundation, with repertoire they like and enjoy to learn.
