I teach piano to beginners and intermediate players to ABRSM grade 5 standard. All ages and backgrounds are welcome: adults will not be treated like children!
I believe very strongly that, while exams can be highly motivational and exciting, they are not the end of music education. I teach a broad repertoire and real musicianship skills, hopefully making the student a rounded musical individual. If you don't want to sit grades then I won't make you!
I only teach in students' homes, so (and this might sound obvious but you'd be surprised) you'll need to have a playable piano or full-size electric equivalent (like a Clavinova). Parents are very welcome to sit in on lessons.

Lessons are booked in blocks of four with payment in advance. If you need to miss a week because you're on holiday then you need to tell me when you pay for the next block.
In the event of illness or other unforeseen circumstances, 24 hours' notice is required to cancel lessons.
