I'm a drum tutor covering East Cornwall and West & South Devon. My lessons are fun and informal. If you're not having fun learning the drums, then the lessons aren't working! I'd like to think that I'm friendly, approachable, patient and a good communicator, and these things are essential to pass over the sometimes complicated technical knowledge you'll need to advance on the drums.

During my lessons, the pupil dictates the way they want to learn. Some people just want to bring CDs and learn how to play their favourite songs- that's how I started. Others want to develop more technical skills before moving further, or to use set texts to develop their learning.

Drop me a line if you have any questions or would like more information on my lessons!

Experience

Teaching

I hadn't been playing long when friends started asking about learning themselves. I passed on a few pointers and found I really enjoyed it, so within a couple of years I was teaching professionally.

Watching a pupil "crack" a new rhythm or fill is really satisfying- it's what keeps me teaching!

Playing

Got my first drumkit at age 14 and have been playing ever since! I've gigged around London and Devon since my late teens.

I've recently joined Plymouth-based indie-rock outfit "Means Of Maybe" and we're getting gigging over Devon, Cornwall and beyond...

Services

Aimed at: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

THE SMALL PRINT

I generally travel out to my pupils to reach the largest area possible. I do charge extra for the time/money spent on reaching pupils, but never more than £10 over and above the basic hourly rate. Give me a call and we can negotiate.
