Alexander Technique - Constructive Rest: Connecting with the body

Our bodies are giving us feedback all the time about the degree of tension; some of it necessary, some of it not. But do we know how to listen? If we can really tune in then a dialogue between mind and body can open up.

In this first "taster" session we will explore some of the basic principles of the Alexander Technique and learn about "constructive rest".

For those who want to take it further there will be a follow-up course in the New Year.

John will be assisted by a final year teacher trainee.

The Power of Thought

"People imagine that their bodies are disobedient and unreliable in carrying out their wishes, whereas nothing could be further from the truth."
Walter Carrington

At this next event we will begin to explore how thoughts affects the body.

There is a special kind of thinking sometimes referred to as "direction" or "projected messages" which can affect the body to great advantage.
