I offer tuition at all levels from beginner to advanced in Piano, Keyboard, Trumpet and Music Theory.
I hold a Masters in Music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a First Class Honours degree in Music from the University of Huddersfield. I divide my time between work as a solo pianist, piano accompanist and private tutor.

Jonathan is an award-winning pianist currently studying a Masters in Piano Accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Jonathan read Music at the University of Huddersfield, graduating with First Class Honours and the Rodwell Prize for Piano. An established performer, Jonathan has performed large-scale works, such as Mozart's Piano Concerto in C. K467, and recently accompanied a recital of Lieder and French song at the Conoco Rooms.

Jonathan is a Junior Fellow at Aberystwyth MusicFest, working as an accompanist for the classical singing and vocal pedagogy courses alongside Dr Ron Morris, Janice Chapman and Veronica Veysey Campbell.

Jonathan has been an official accompanist for several music festivals including the Huddersfield Grammar School Music and Drama Festival, and the Lincoln Music and Drama Festival. Jonathan has played for a variety of musicals and operettas, both in concert and rehearsal, including The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls, The Wizard of Oz, Bugsy Malone, We Will Rock You, Die Fledermaus and The Pirates of Penzance.

Jonathan has been involved with the Music for Youth Festival, appearing at the Royal Albert Hall on three occasions with award-winning big band, Jazz Vehicle. Jonathan has workshopped with many prestigious jazz musicians including Dennis Rollins, the late Abram Wilson and Tom Cawley, and performed in several high-profile events. Highlights included a private party for EMI, and an event in the Natural History Museum for Lord Sebastian Coe during the 2012 Olympics bid. Jonathan toured to Rotterdam with the University of Huddersfield Big Band, and also played with the University Symphonic Wind Orchestra, who performed one of his own arrangements as part of their concert series.

As répétiteur, Jonathan has worked for several established amateur musical societies including the Huddersfield Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Halifax All Souls Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society and CAODS. Jonathan also founded Elements Function Band in Huddersfield, who remain in demand for weddings, parties and corporate events.
