Joyce has been in the beauty and make up industry for 15 years. Joyce has built her reputation on offering a friendly and specialist service for everyone and providing expert help and advice on treatments, make-up brands and application techniques as well as styling and makeovers.
Continual training is essential to keep ahead in the beauty industry. Joyce regularly attends professional training classes and during the last 15 years she has attended the Professional Beauty London, International Beauty Show in New York, Afro Hair & Beauty Show, Dermalogica Congress Istanbul (August 2008), MAC Make up Masterclass at BAFTA , Salon International at Excel, Cosmetic News Expo and IMATS.
Joyce passionately believes that every woman in the UK, regardless of their skin tone, should have access to professional skin care, beauty advice and treatment. Her aim is to champion the cause of skin care and make-up in the UK, so that all women can enjoy suitable top quality products that are easily available in high street shops and which are manufactured to high standards specially to suit their needs.
In the last year Joyce works as a volunteer for the charity Look Good feel Better to help women with cancers that are being treated with chemotherapy. She also set up her blog A blog to give tips and let others know about new beauty products all tried and tested by Joyce. In 2011 her company Brides and Beauty was shortlisted in the Wedding Ideas magazine awards and received a highly commended award nomination.
Brides and Beauty have set up a successful Facebook business page and has had their Twitter beauty quotes printed in national women’s glossy magazines.
Joyce regularly appears as a beauty expert in newspapers, magazines, online and on BBC Radio Berkshire as part of the Lifestyle panel and commenting on the Royal wedding make up.
