Julia Allen

I am trained as a traditional artist and have worked for over 10 years as a designer and producer in educational software and games development. I have great experience using a variety of design programs in particular the Adobe creative suite and am familiar with using both PC's and Applemacs. My learners vary from amateur photographers to graphic designers to hobbyists who just want to have a go at digital imaging. I try and encourage the creative side to blossom in my students and believe that everyone is capable of achieving a pleasing result and having fun with their images.
I began tutoring in 2004 and completed my PGCE in 2008. I teach non accredited courses for the WEA and all levels including H.E. at Chesterfield College. I am also an external Moderator for ABC exam board specialising in the verification of the Creative Industries Awards.
