Julian Norris

I am a qualified teacher, holding a Cambridge University Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). I achieved a grade A pass.

I have 2 years of teaching experience, having taught small groups and also on a 1:1 basis. I taught English at the Refugee Council for 18 months, teaching people from many different countries and cultures. My lessons have been at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.

I am a retired Senior Civil Servant. During my career I obtained extensive experience in delivering effective communications in a wide range of settings, both in the UK and abroad. I am, therefore, also able to offer Business English lessons, so that your work based communications may achieve an excellent standard.

I have experience of coaching students to take the International English Language Testing System examinations, to be eligible to apply for a University place. I hold a first and a Masters degree. I have supported overseas students with their essays and dissertations, in particular with proofreading.

All lessons, at all levels, will be tailored to meet your specific needs.

I am Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced cleared.

My lessons, if you live in South East London, can be delivered in your own home, or at my home. I am available weekdays and weekends, and in the evening.
