keith Roost
Keith has over 35 years experience in the Chinese Internal Arts, he is a lineage disciple in two traditions of Tai Chi Chuan. He studied under Grandmaster Chee Soo with the International Wu Shu Association for over 18 years, being awarded his masters degree in 1986 after more than 10 years of study including a broad syllabus embracing Kung fu and Tai Chi Chuan, Chin Na, Qigong, massage, Chinese wrestling and more. He also studied under Peter Warr, one of Europe’s most respected Wu Shu trainers and officials. Since 1991 Keith has been a student of Dan Docherty of Practical Tai Chi Chuan International. Keith has served as a judge and given demonstrations and seminars at international events. In addition Keith designed and delivered tailored courses to many varied organisations including Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and the Universidade dos Hospitais in Coimbra, Portugal.
During his long career in the Chinese internal arts, Keith has made time to investigate a number of external Chinese systems (including Hung Gar, Eagle claw, and Praying Mantis) also Japanese, Indian, and near eastern systems and well known and occluded methodologies from many cultures. He is a registered senior teacher with the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.
He is happy to accept dedicated students of any level.
