I am a mandolin player and vocalist from Lincolnshire, now living in Glasgow. I play in all female band The Shee (www.theshee.com) and various swing, blues and bluegrass outfits. I have been teaching for about 7 years now, including some teaching for folkworks at The Sage Gateshead and on the Folk and Traditional Music Degree in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

I teach from complete beginner to quite advanced, individuals and groups, focusing mainly on technique and repertoire through Folk and Bluegrass music. In lessons I am flexible with material depending on what a specific student would like to focus on, which can be anything from a new tune every week to learning techniques to improve improvisation and back-up to play whilst singing.
