I am of Chinese origin, born in Malaysia. I took up Tai Chi in my local health club some years ago. I take it up seriously and enjoy it greatly. I wished I had taken it long time ago while still in my own country.

As I am a qualified nurse and midwife, I become more and more aware of the health and general wellbeing Tai Chi can promote. I found Tai Chi promotes relaxation so I thought it would be good to pass on this knowledge to others. This made me to decide to take up a part-time Tai Chi instructor post 8 years ago to help others to enjoy this beautiful ancient art. I have few classes a week in a different Health clubs in Glasgow area.

I teach mainly the simplified 24 steps short form Yang style hand form. I can also teach the Cheng Man-ching short Yang system, 42 competition form and 18 fan form.

I like to place more emphasis on relaxation and meditation than on the martial arts side. This often involves Chi Kung exercises in the class. I find it very challenging to teach the art to all different age groups. Most of my groups enjoy the relaxation effect that they get out from doing Tai Chi.
