Lee Latham
My name is Lee and I teach and play guitar in Brough in the East Riding of Yorkshire (Brough is about 10 miles to West of Kingston-upon-Hull or Hull as we call it).
If you are one of those people who always wanted to learn to play the guitar well it's never-too-late (and you can start pretty young too).Whether you want to play acoustic or electric guitar, rock or folk, for yourself, your family or in front of an audience I can get you started in the right direction.
Most styles of music catered for.
have been playing guitar since I was about 8 or 9 years old. I started off playing John Denver songs and progressed to classical guitar and took some exams. At the age of 13 I discovered rock (heavy metal actually) and so I acquired my first electric guitar (and amp!!!).
I play and sing in two local bands. Rattlefish are a guitar-driven party band and we play pubs, clubs and parties in East Yorkshire & beyond. Check us out at http://www.rattlefish.net. The Laggy Band are a four piece acoustic band playing mashed up rock, pop and indie covers as well as some classic Dylan, Cash and country stuff. I play the banjo and guitar with the Laggy’s.
I offer guitar lessons for novices and complete beginners to intermediate players and competent strummers looking to improve.
I teach in a non-linear way but adopt a structured teaching plan that is individually tailored to get YOU playing the music and songs YOU enjoy QUICKLY.
I will incorporate the development of new skills (chords, scales, techniques etc), theory and song structure by learning songs (often chosen by the student).
The plan is to have FUN & ENJOY making music.
I offer lessons from 20 minutes (for younger children) up to one hour as required for older children and adults.
I charge £20 per hour and £8 for 20 minute lessons. I can offer home lessons when available at £30 per hour.
I have a clear Criminal Records Bureau check (Police Check).
