Networking event for creative professionals, opportunity for schools & other organisations to book workshops for the coming year.

4 hour drawing workshop for 15 x A Level Art Students, to count towards a large part of the A level students' coursework. Held on the school inset day, on site. The model was provided by myself. We worked through a series of short exercises to retrain them to see, & to utilise the right side of their brains. These included transcribing an Egon Schiele drawing upside down, and a series of 1 and 2 minute poses. We continued with short poses to keep the momentum going & build enthusiasm, culminating in a couple of 20 minute poses at the end of the session. I spent time with each student individually, working my way around the group, while also giving some circle time where I would show them the 'force' & 'flow' lines within the pose, the dynamism, the play of light. Before the lunch break I showed the students a brief selection of my own 10 minute lifedrawings. I also asked them to bring their own work to the centre of the group, to show & discuss, and to encourage feedback, & autonomy. I work to a lesson-plan, but allow room for spontaneity & fluidity.
