Marina launched her solo piano career at the very early age in Yugoslavia. As a child prodigy she made her debut at the age of eight at the major concert hall in Belgrade followed by her first appearance on the National Television and Radio. Since then she was winning on many competitions and festivals for young musicians on the national level consecutively for 9 years that led to many tours and performances across Yugoslavia. After winning the Yugoslavian National Competition for Young Pianist in 1978 as a result she was given a state scholarship to the Moscow Conservatoire in USSR where she was educated further. While studying in Russia she went trough training as a solo performer with P.V. Messner, chamber music with M. Oleniev and an accompanist course for opera singers with V.Chacava. While there she also studied with V. Saharov and take consultations from A. Gavrilov. After graduation she continued her studies in Belgrade with I. Lasko with whom she has been closely collaborating for many years. From 1985, whilst continuing her post graduate studies at the Belgrade Academy of Music, Marina worked as an accompanist at the Belgrade National Opera as well as a piano teacher at the L.Davicho College for Music and Ballet. As her reputation grew in the music world she was invited to UK to tutor students of the Purcell School of Music in 1987.

Having moved to London she continued her solo and accompanist career performing in major concert halls across the UK and in Europe, playing in many countries including Russia, Ukraine, Norway and Balkan States. She has also been involved in different musical projects including chamber music, orchestral concerts, working with opera singers and promoting contemporary music. Marina had made many recordings of Russian composers such as Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Rachmaninov as well as Bach, Mozart and various other contemporary music. In 1998 she obtained a Degree of Master of Arts by studying at City University and was awarded Sir Jack & Lady Lyons Performance Scholarship.

As well as teaching piano at Watford School of Music and privately, Marina has established herself as an organizer and promoter of many musical events helping young artists to further their careers. Furthermore, her class of students were also noticed on the UK musical scene as they won many awards and prizes at competitions and festivals. Marina was also founder member of New European Music & Arts Movement (NEMAM) whose aim is in promoting the alliance of various forms of arts; the organized venues including music, visual arts, film and acting.
Concerned that students also recognise the physical demands of playing, Marina also joined the International Society for the Study of Tension in Performance (ISSTIP) in 1998. Since then she has been working closely with Professor Carola Grindea focusing on preventing of musician’s physical problems and injuries. In 2009 she has been promoted to a post of Vice Chairman and the Editor of ISSTIP Journal.
Her remarkable work has been widely noticed both internationally and in the British press including The Times. She was also invited to make a contribution to “International Who's is Who in Music and Musicians” in 1993.
