I am Marion Dutton, an Alexander Certified Art Instructor and a portrait and pet portrait artist, and I can teach YOU how to oil paint!

Art Classes
You can learn to paint beautiful seascapes, breathtaking landscapes and spectacular florals and I will show you how with step by step demonstrations whilst you follow along on your own canvas and at your own pace. Even if you are a complete beginner -you will be amazed at the hidden artist within.

I run regular half day classes, in my private studio in Egerton, Bolton, Lancashire and teach students of all ages and abilities to create stunning paintings completed from start to finish in just a few short hours

Portrait & Pet Portrait Courses

As well as my half day workshops, I also offer more intensive 4 and 6 week courses for portraits and pet portraiture. If you have ever wanted to paint portraits or simply paint your beloved pet, all you need for one of these courses is a good clear photograph.

Group Classes

Oil Painting Workshop - Sundown Geese

Join me in painting this beautiful landscape. We use a complimentary colour scheme of vibrant yellows and lavender to create this stunning painting, and you will learn blending techniques as well as stippling techniques to create the trees and foliage. This my version of Wilson Bickford's painting - Sundown Geese.

All materials are provided, and the loan of brushes. All that you need is an apron, a packed lunch and a kitchen roll.

One Day Workshop - Spirit of Spring Floral Sunday 3rd June 2012

Join me in painting this beautiful floral. We will take this step by step as we begin the softly blended background, the shining vase and these lovely delicate poppies. This is beautiful painting that is sure to delight. All materials provided, all that is needed is a packed lunch and a small kitchen roll
