07739614579 Knowing how to maintain your bicycle can help you avoid extra repair bills and keep your bicycle operating at its best. We will show you how to keep your bicycle in top condition, with simple checks to make sure things are running as they should.
Foundation course in cycle maintenance – 1/2 day

Course includes wheel removal and installation, puncture repair, gear tuning and basic brake adjustment. Want to know how to set up your bike correctly (vital if you’re going to be comfortable, cycle efficiently and avoid injury), we will cover this too. In summary then you will learn:-

To get the right fit
Instant Bike care
Name that part
Safety Checks
Remove wheels
Tyre and wheel care / changing tyres and fixing punctures
Chain care
Gear tuning and how to use your gears
Basic Brake adjustment
Wash and Lubricate routine
Information on tools
Intensive course in cycle maintenance – 1 day

Morning session as Foundation course above, but spend a day to know your way around the bike (can be done as two separate ½ day modules). Intended for anyone keen on wanting to learn how to carry out basic repairs / maintenance, in the afternoon session you will learn how to undertake:
Basic wheel truing – essential for better braking
Brake adjustment – for powerful, silent stopping (disk and cable brakes)
Adjusting hub bearings – for maximum life and smooth running
Gear adjustment – including fitting new cables and fine tuning to both front and rear mechanisms
Bottom bracket and headset adjustment
Recommendations for routine bicycle servicing

Martin started in the bicycle trade aged 15 in 1984. Working in the local bicycle shop. As a keen cyclist, started Cycle Tech in March 2008. And is cytech 1 & 2 qualified. With Martin’s mechanical background and training he is able to work to a high standard. Having a fully equipped mobile workshop. cycletech can come to your home or place of work. No need to take your bike to the shop again!

Cycle Tech has put together a one day course. For the beginner. For sorting out on the road repairs and home maintenance.Including Replacing tyres, setting up and adjusting gears and brakes.

The course is aimed at the beginner and those with a little mechanical knowledge. After the course you will have a basic knowledge and a understanding of how to look after your bicycle and do your own repairs, cutting the cost of maintenance. And enjoying more time cycling.
