Wudang Gongfu Classes
The martial arts of Wudang have grown from the deep internal arts of Taijiquan and Star Stepping Daoist practices, and the merger with the warrior arts found throughout Chinese history. This unification created the Wudang Gongfu (Kung Fu) which is taught today.
For priests and monks living in the mountains and traveling historical China, bandits were plentiful, and the skills of self-defense were crucial to their peaceful training if they were going to survive in such harsh times. The practice of combative use of Taijiquan takes many years to develop. Because of this, basic martial art skills were developed for the students to train in for the purpose of defensive fighting. From these external arts, the power is developed inward, and the internal power can be unlocked as a student progresses and evolves in their form practice.
The martial arts offered in this course are designed for students of all experiences and levels. The initial course all students will train is the basic for of Jibenquan, the basic Wudang kicking methods, and various internal power development skills. Once achieving basic level proficiency in these skills, they then join the class in the current form being trained.
All students learn together and train the current form of the season. As this form rotates through various Wudang Sets from the Sanfeng Pai, the students will also train and practice their previous forms.
All necessary skills will be trained in this open course including, but not limited to:
~Basic Stretching Methods
~Advanced Stretching
~Loosening Drills & Exercises
~Qigong for health, strengthening, and cultivation.
~Standing Meditation for core conditioning and mental/emotional/spiritual health.

Yin Style Zhen Trigram Baguazhang [Personalized Class]
One of the for primary internal martial arts, Baguazhang is probably the most diverse, second only to Taijiquan. In these classes, students focus on one particular piece, of one of the most classic of lineages. Yin Style Baguazhang is known for it's combative application, and it's body strengthening-conditioning aspects. The Zhen Trigram, or Dragon Palm, is one of the most combatively useful, in that it's goals are a constant theory of entering and breaking the opponent's center.
Offered in this course, students will learn the slow and steady path to grasping Bagua-- not as a performance art-- but a combative system. The following aspects are trained in the course:
-Stretching
