Rates: Grade 1 – 2: I recommend half an hour tuition at £20 Grade 3 – 4: I recommend 40 minutes tuition at £30 Grade 5 and above (including college entry level): I recommend 1 hour tuition at £40 Initial consultation lesson is free and recommended tuition will be discussed on an individual basis.

I am an experienced professional violinist & teacher living in the Stirling, Falkirk, Cumbernauld area.

I have worked with many of the British symphony orchestras including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Orchestra of Scottish Ballet, The Orchestra of Scottish Opera, The Orchestra of Opera North & The Manchester Camerata.

I have extensive teaching experience and over the last 10 years I have worked in various private schools, state schools and also given private tuition. I have taught young children & adults at beginner level, to more advanced students at college entry level and beyond. While teaching in schools I also instructed the string orchestras & chamber groups.

I also play the piano and use this in lessons to accompany and enhance the lesson as well as demonstrating on the violin.

My aim is to nurture and create a very enjoyable and fulfilling environment to enable my students to reach their full potential.

BMus. Music Performance - R.S.A.M.D. (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) 1987
Postgraduate Diploma in Orchestral Studies - R.S.A.M.D. (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) 1988
Diploma in Orchestral Studies - National Centre for Orchestral Studies, London 1989

I hold a current CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Basic Disclosure Certificate.
