Natalie Toyne is an award-winning performer and writer as well as an experienced and inspiring vocal and acting coach.

Her training includes an MA in Muscial Theatre from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; and Popular Voice and Jazz Studies at the University of Natal, South Africa. Many of her students are now studying at conservatoires and performance schools around the UK, some on full scholarship.

Are you looking for lessons in Jazz and Popular Voice or Musical Theatre, a total beginner, an actor needing to sing, someone in need of audition preparation or a professional after vocal maintenance?

Natalie enables you to access different vocal qualities
without you losing your individual sound. Classes include breathing and support, style and acting through song, confidence boosting. All ages and levels are welcome, from beginners to professionals.

Acting tuition includes audition preparation - monologues for conservatoire. Natalie also works with actors to perfect their self-tape audition.

£40/hour in Edinburgh.

Scene Study Acting Class - Wednesdays - course of 4

On the back of their co-production with Glasgow’s Tron Theatre of 'Scenes Unseen: New work from Alan Ayckbourn, Athol Fugard, J.P. Donleavy and Patrick Marber', New Inck Theatre is holding a new Scene Study Course. 

Suitable for:
-Continued Professional Development for actors wishing to sharpen their saw and enrich their practice. 
-Students studying Acting, Musical Theatre or Dance who wish to improve their practice. 

Course:
-Contentless Scenes will be used to explore establishing relationship between characters, the want/objectives of each character, building conflict and raising the stakes, and the actions and tactics used to win what each character wants. 
-Working with different texts and different partners to learn different ways to approach a scene - including essential action (See 'Practical Handbook for The Actor' by graduate students of David Mamet). 
-Open discussion in a safe environment encouraged - small class of 8 
-Course led by Natalie Toyne, an established coach working in the theatre industry.
