Hi, my name is Nozomi. I have a PhD in Comparative Literature (Japanese and English) from Sussex University. I am currently teaching at the University of London in both English and Japanese Literature.

From this summer, I will start teaching Japanese (Language and/or Literature) and English Literature for tutoring.

I have previously taught Japanese Language at Sussex Centre for Foreign Studies (University of Sussex) as well as private tutoring, and I also have a teaching qualification at secondary schools in Japan.

I can also help you for preparing GCSEs or A levels (Japanese and English) and JLPT.

I am friendly and funny, I can provide you with interesting conversation on various topics, including politics and arts. I have great reviews from previous students:

‘The seminars with Nozomi have been so helpful. She has made everything very clear and always been approachable and kind.’

‘I enjoyed your seminars and I really want you to teach me next year, too.’

A senior lecturer at the University of London who observed my seminar also gave me the following feedback: ‘[Nozomi] created a nice atmosphere in which students are happy to talk. I also thought the class had a good structure and there was a good balance between [Nozomi’s] contribution and that of the students.’

I always endeavour to share my enthusiasm to work closely with students and help them to develop their concepts and confidence.

If you are a mature student who wants to learn Japanese language, we can start our lessons in a cafe, and if you want me to teach your kids Japanese or English for GCSE, A levels or other purposes, I can come to your house to tutor.

Thanks for reading this, and looking forward to hearing from you.
