New Beginners Course MORTLAKE starts 24th March
Heavenmountain Taijiquan comes from Nanpai Taiji 37, the origins of all modern Taiji, in which standing postures are used to develop strong Internal Forces. Whilst it is excellent for the health, healing and meditative aspects of Taiji practice it also incorporates the learning of Yin & Yang philosophy, Taiji Form and the energetic applications of the postures.
Using Standing Postures, Daoyin exercises and Spontaneous Movement, helped by Information Transmission from the teacher, students are quickly able to activate the Dantian, the core of the internal energy system, and to introduce Vibration Force, which is the foundation of all Taiji Forces, into their practice.
Outward Direction of these internal forces utilising Mental Concentration allows them both to induce and to feel the Expulsion of Negative Qi and the rapid corresponding improvement in well-being and health. These exercises primarily involve Stretching, Taiji Movements and Taiji 37 standing Postures. They can work at the level of the individual student and are therefore suitable for most people. We also use a Yang Style based Form to aid memory, understanding and practice of the Postures.
The use of Sound Vibration and Some Meditation may be included.

TAIJIWUXIGONG - HEALING QIGONG IN REIGATE

WEDNESDAYS 10am - 11.30 am - open to all
Taijiwuxigong is a sophisticated and detailed QIGong system derived entirely from Taijiquan. It develops the same internal forces, but concentrates on the health and healing aspects of practice and does not require the learning of Form or martial applications.
