Phil Wiskin
I have been training within the martial arts for over 25 years and teaching for 20. I can never see myself giving up the fantasic benefits of martial arts training in general and my association and style in particular.
I am a 4th Dan Master instructor, fully qualified to teach, CRB cleared and First Aid certificated.
Tang Soo Do is a Korean martial art that can trace it's roots back some 2000 years. Within it, hand to hand fighting techniques, self defence, weapons and forms are all taught.
My students who I teach within this style gain fitness, strength, flexibility and an all important knowledge of self defence in this sadly all too often aggressive world.
However, within my association, we also put great weight into teaching the student to become a 'better person', to respect those around them, to be humble about their abilities but also to have an indomitable spirit.
My class - Ramsey and Upwood Tang Soo Do - is located between Huntingdon and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, and has been teaching students of all ages and genders from the local area for over 20 years. It is also a proud member of the World Tang Soo Do Association, a world wide body with over 100,000 students.
All ages of student are welcome, with the age span of current students ranging from 6 to 67. First lessons are free.
