Quoc Huy Nguyen Dinh
I'm a location portrait photographer based in Ealing: QH Photography.
Most of my photographic work is mostly based around off-camera flash with the use of portable speedlights. A lot of photographers don't like using flash because they misunderstand and misuse them. Speedlights are actually very useful and despite their small size they are still very powerful and will bring you a lot of advantage:
- an alternative to existing light when you don't have enough or with bad quality. In a bag they'll become your own available light.
- a boost to your creativity by either being added to the existing light or killing it completely.
- flexibility and portability. They are small and light so can be carried with you anywhere without hassle.
- safety: no cables on the ground, no high voltage plugs etc...
My photography 1-on-1 tuition sessions:
- "Basics of photography": learn how to use your recently bought DSLR. £75 for 2 hours.
- "Introduction to off-camera flash lighting": understand the basics of this technique that will boost your creativity: expose the flash, balance it with the ambient light, control the quality of the light etc... £60 for 3 hours. This suit photographers that don't already own off-camera gears and want to see if this will suit their style. This also suit camera clubs for an event.
- "Hands-on Introduction to off-camera flash lighting": bring your equipment and we will discover what possibilities they offer. Understand the basics of this technique that will boost your creativity: expose the flash, balance it with the ambient light, control the quality of the light etc... £100 for 3 hours.
- "Expose and balance the flash with the ambient". £75 for 2 hours. Practice all sort of situation where you will need to balance the existing light with your flash unit.
- "How to use multiple flashes and accessories to get creative". £75 for 2 hours. Be more creative with the use of multiple light sources and accessories.
