Rachel Shirley

I offer flute lessons for children and adults, from complete beginners to more advanced students and players returning after a break. I love helping people to learn, improve and enjoy their playing, and have experience of working with all ages. For students who want to take exams, I can help you prepare for these. I have a student flute available for beginners to try, and can advise on buying or hiring an instrument.

I teach music theory up to ABRSM Grade 6, and am happy to take on players of any instrument for theory lessons.

I will travel to you, anywhere within the Sheffield area.

Qualifications:
Higher National Diploma in Music from Edinburgh Napier University
ABRSM Grade 8 Flute (distinction)
ABRSM Grade 7 Music Theory (merit)
Qualifications in training and mentoring.
Safeguarding training (NSPCC Child Protection Awareness in Music course).
Enhanced CRB check.
