I have been teaching pupils on a one-to-one basis for the past eight years within a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. These pupils have ranged in age from 6 years old to senior adult. My teaching techniques are adjusted appropriately to suit each individual in order for them obtain a love of their instrument and the music that they are ultimately able to produce.

I am currently teaching pupils privately in my home in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, and have extensive experience in teaching in schools. Lesson lengths of 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and one hour are offered in relation to each individual’s needs and level of ability. I am also fully accredited by the Derbyshire Music Partnership for clarinet, saxophone and piano.

I offer tuition for the theory of music alongside the practical, and always accompany my clarinet and saxophone pupils with the piano where required. I find that pupils enjoy and sometimes prefer to play their music with this accompaniment.

I have a very successful pass rate from candidates entered for ABRSM examinations, and as well as preparing pupils for these examinations, I also teach a wide variety of music, including classical, popular, jazz and duets.

Over the past two years I have performed in three of my own clarinet recitals, in which I performed a variety of classical movements. I also arrange and perform in musical events, providing my pupils with the opportunity to perform in front of the paying public in a professional theatre. Please take a look at past and upcoming events for further information.

I currently charge £12 per half hour for teaching at my home in Aylesbury.

Aimed at: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
