Exceeding my ‘Raise Online’ GCSE English Examination results last year, with almost half my students surpassing their target Grades, I am a dynamic, imaginative and resourceful educator, with experience and proven success in teaching in an inner-city environment.
• 2011 – Rescuing the Art Department!
• 2010 – Running the one-to-one English Tuition Programme at the school
• 2008 - organised and ran the English GCSE Masterclass at Fulham Football Ground GCSE results dramatically improved this year.
• 2007 - appointed English / Media PGCE and GTP (Student teacher) Mentor
• 2006 - appointed Head of Media
• 2006 - appointed Head of EAL and EMA (Ethnic Minorities Achievement)
• 2006 - 2008 established and ran the Salesian Debating Society
• 2005 - appointed Teacher Governor and member of the Standards’ Committee
• 2004 - with complete editorial control, I established and now edit the Salesian Magazine annual circ over 3000.
• 2004 - collaborating and re-introducing / editing the old boys’ magazine; ‘Red and Gold’ annual circ 1,500.
• 2003 - 2007 established and ran the Salesian Slam Poetry Competition; involving extra-curricular poetry workshops and entering (and in 2 years winning) the Poetry Society’s annual London ‘Respect’ Slam competition. Two of the students involved in this have recently had a musical aired at the Battersea Arts Club and another is now a published poet.
• 2003 - organised the Improving Writing Scheme at KS3 -SATs results up as a consequence.
• 2003 - writing press releases for local, national and Catholic publications
• 2002 - appointed Whole School Literacy Coordinator

Appointed Head of Media, to coordinate and teach the BTEC Media National Diploma Programme. I have had 100% pass rate since starting this theoretical and practical media course.
• Teaching the various stages of video production, audio production, print production, animation, graphic design, photography and media theory.
• 2008 - in a major collaborative project involving students from Goldsmiths’ University, South Thames College and various Wandsworth secondary schools, I managed and taught all stages of video production culminating in a series of music videos for the ‘Lifewise’ Anti-Gun and Knife Campaign. These were then shown at City Hall, London and are available on the internet.
• 2006 to 2011- working alongside the production company ‘Art and Adventure’ to produce a series of documentaries about the Wandsworth ‘Gifted and Talented’ Annual Projects.
• 2003 to 2011 – teaching all aspects of video production to KS2 and KS3 ‘Gifted and Talented’ Students.
