BIOGRAPHY

Rocio is a creative and enthusiastic teacher who provides friendly lessons adapted to each individual needs, from excellent music readers to the absolute beginners, who will learn music as easy as when they learned to talk.
Rocio has been teaching on a one-to-one basis since 2004 and in the classroom since 2009, which makes her an excellent educator apart from having a deep knowledge into the saxophone performance and techniques.

Rocio's teaching technique has always followed an organized method with regular follow-ups and revisions, focusing in the learning method of the pupil (visual, aural, intellectual…) and improving every different aspect involved in music playing (sound, technique, rhythm, performance anxiety, etc.).

Rocio combines her private tuition with restless performance activity both as a soloist and in ensemble playing in both jazz and classical styles. She is leader and founder of the Banyuls Saxophone Quartet (www.banyulsquartet.co.uk). Moreover, she is constatnly involved in workshops and courses around the world, the most recent being the International Saxophone Week in Amsterdam and the International Saxophone Course in Santiago, Spain.
