I am currently a PhD student in the Faculty of Media and Cultural Studies at University of the Arts London. My PhD has been fully funded by the University as a part of their UALIG studentship.

I also have a MA in English from University of Westminster, where I was awarded a full merit based scholarship by the department to pursue postgraduate studies. I went back to Westminster last year as a Visiting Lecturer contributing to the module 'Art and Society'

I am currently co editing two book projects (one contracted to Setu Prakashani, India and the other contracted to Mcfarland Books, North Carolina). I have published seven articles and reviews in peer reviewed journals and anthologies. I have also contributed as Research Assistant for the book Handbook of Indian Cinema (Routledge, 2013) and A Guide to the Study of Indian Cinema (Trentham, 2012).

I am a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society and Junior Member of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs. I am also on the editorial for the postgraduate journal, Hortulus: A Journal of Medieval Studies

I have experience of teaching and tutoring students having worked at University of East London and London Southbank University. Whilst I was in India I also tutored and facilitated writing workshops for Kalam Margins Write and Comet Media Foundation.

I teach English (language and literature), Film, Media, Cultural Studies and Bengali (Literature and Language). You can get in touch with me here or send a query email to [email protected]
