Sarah studied Applied Arts at The University of Hertfordshire where she graduated in 2010 with a First Class Honours Degree. Her teaching career began early on when she was employed by the university as a third year student sharing skills and techniques with yuonger undergraduates. Sarah now works professionally as an artist and glass worker, selling her unique illustrative pieces in this country and abroad. Intermediate Evening Classes

There is an intermediate course where you can work on some more complex self-led projects. Over the course of the 6 weeks you will have the time to explore the techniques you learnt on the beginners course and begin to become more confident and knowledgeable about how glass fusing works. This course gives you the equipment to practise your skills and the chance to ask any questions you have in relaxed and informative setting.
The course will include tuition, some materials, tea, coffee and homemade biscuits. £120 per person

Evening Class for Beginners

Beginner

Join me for a 6 week beginners course to learn a range of different techniques you can use in fused glass. Over the first 4 weeks I will teach you 4 different techniques and the final 2 weeks we will create a final piece where you can use your new skills learnt over the past few weeks. You will have many different pieces to take home and show off of your new found hobby!
The 6 weeks cost just £120 for materials, tuition, tea, coffee and homemade biscuits.
This course is ideal for complete beginners or those who have previously attended another class but would like to learn more.

Beginners Glass Fusing Day

Come and join Sarah for a day of learning new skills and techniques to create a wall hanging or set of 4 coasters. You will learn techniques such as Glass Cutting, Transferring Designs, Decorative Techniques, Colouring and Fusing. Sarah will show you how to hand draw onto glass and also how to use frits. Don’t worry if you aren’t sure what you would like to make we can work together to come up with a design.
Just £75 for the day, inclusive of materials, tea, coffee and most importantly homemade cake! Classes start at 10am and are usually finished by 4pm – depending on how long it takes you to finish your masterpieces! Once you have made your creations they will need to be fired in the kiln, and will be ready for collection the following week.
This class is suitable for anyone over the age of 14, however under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy, closed toe shoes must be worn, e.g.: trainers, as unfortunately without them you will not be able to take part.

Full payment is required to confirm your space on a class. Should you wish to cancel the class you will be unable to receive a refund - but you are able to rebook on a different date one time only for free providing it is one month prior to the session or £5 charge per person closer to the class. No cancellations can be made 72 hours prior to the class.
