Sarah Frazer
I come from a musical family and began playing piano when I was about 8. I started the French Horn in year five and singing lessons during high school. While I was still in education I also had the experience of playing tenor horn and trumpet in a variety of ensembles. I studied piano at Salford University where I got a BA (Hons) in Popular Music and Recording. I then went on to do a PGCert in Secondary Education teaching music. I have a DipABRSM in French Horn, Grade 8 in Piano (distinction) and Singing (merit). I also have Grade 5 Theory.
For the last ten years I have taught in a range of secondary schools in the Manchester area, teaching key stage three and four, as well as piano, voice and brass. In my private time I have also taught piano and keyboard, as well as singing and theory. I also doing singing work in schools conducting choirs and helping with singing assemblies.
All ages and abilities are welcome, with single 'taster' lessons if desired. Lessons are relaxed and informal, they take place at home usually once a week. They are tailored to the individual needs of each student, according to their aims, ability and the style of music they wish to play. You can choose to play for pleasure or work towards ABRSM grades. My aim is to help everyone I teach discover the joy that can be achieved through playing music.
