Sara Radford
I have been sewing for over 40 years and professionally for the last 21 years, mainly in bridalwear.
I teach workshops for couture boned bodices, Victorian period corsets and more general dressmaking, and speed tailoring for the terrified.
Details can be found on www.sararadford.co.uk where you can also contact me.
I have a Friday afternoon sewing group which runs in Exmouth every week which is not a regular course, students are able to pay by the session that they attend, so if you want to hone one particular skill or finish off one of those "UFO's" lurking in the sewing box then you can sign up for just one week.
Victorian period corsets do require good machine skills as many of the stitching lines will be visible.
I have been a dressmaking demonstrator at the Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts show at Westpoint, Exeter for the past three years and more recently at Sewing For Pleasure at the NEC, Birmingham.
If you would like more information email [email protected] or call me on 01395 263343.

Further details on the workshop can be found on www.sararadford.co.uk which gives you a list of what you need to bring with you to the workshop. This will be a small workshop for 3/4 people enabling students to have more personal tuition. Materials are included but you would need to bring a fashion fabric for the outer layer of your corset.

THE SMALL PRINT
I will take students younger than 16 provided that a parent attends as well.
The workshops taught at Countess Wear Village Hall in Exeter will be bound by their terms and conditions where refunds are not made if a student cancels a place on a course less than six weeks before the course is due to start or the course is not attended by the student.
Workshops that I teach privately at home are offered on a random basis when enough students have expressed an interest in doing a particular sewing project.
