My name is Savannah Fuenmayor and I have been a professional singer/performer for 8 years with the wonderful group Bandera Latina in Holland, and a music teacher for 5 years. I find great joy in sharing the fun that can be found in singing, for both adults and children. I specialise in Popular Music, Jazz and Musicals for adults. The emphasis in my Singing Classes lies on having fun and exploring all the wonderful things that can be done when you put your mind to it. Because of my own experience I like to concentrate on performance as well, so my classes are equally suited for the new beginner as well as the aspiring pop stars among us. So whether you want to be on the X-Factor, serenade your loved ones, or try your chances with singing outside the shower I can help! Because I am a qualified Life Coach as well I also use visualization techniques, goal setting and several other useful excercises that easily blend in with my lessons.

Eastleigh Fusion Choir
On Tuesday the 21st April 2009 the first rehearsal of the Eastleigh Fusion Choir will be held in St Andrews Methodist Church, Blenheim Road, Eastleigh
This will be a mixed choir in the broadest sense of the word (think Sister Act at it's best!!!!!) and no previous experience or knowledge of musictheory will be necessary as all parts will be taught by ear.
Songs will vary from Spirituals to the Sound of Music and suggestions for new songs are always welcome and will be taken into consideration
The main aim is to have fun singing together whilst at the same time enjoying music and learning new songs
Rehearsals are every Tuesday (termtime only although there will be some sessions during the Summer holidays as well) from 8-9.30 PM at above mentioned venue.
A small contribution of £3.50 per person will be required per session to help pay for the venue, backing tracks and paper

My experience
Hello,
My name is Savannah Fuenmayor and with me it was like in the Abba song "thank you for the music": "Mother said I was a singer before I could talk". I was late with everything you can imagine except singing and my music. At 6 I sneaked out of the house to go to the organ shop on the corner to play the organ in the window of the organ shop! Since then I have always sang and played the piano. I went to the Conservatoire as well but my rebellious nature ensured I didn't last very long. To me music and singing had always been so much fun and enjoyable but there they made it seem like a chore, something that's difficult, hard and definately NOT fun! So, of Savannah went. By that time my brother had the epiphany to start a band and I was up for it as well so Bandera Latina was born. We played together for 8 years playing in everyplace you can possibly remember and having a great time as well!
When I was younger I had singing lessons and after a year and a half I had completely lost my voice. I couldn't sing anymore and didn't want to. It took me two years!!!!! to find my natural voice back and it made me decide to become a singing teacher and implement all the things I had learned while performing and on myn own quest to find my natural voice. And of course, I now knew how I DIDN't want to teach! After having my son I decided to get back in the saddle and get back the Music in my life and became a teacher again.
That is the story of my experience and how Music with Savannah came about. I absolutely love my job and wouldn't want to trade it for anything in the world.
