Tamagnini Mascarenhas A.K.A. Tama Dun Dun
Started is journey in music seventeen years ago when
he finish he's first studies of percussion and theatre,
Lisbon, Portugal.
He was particulary interested on a cultural aspect of
the traditional world music, to preserve and bring them
to those who never add contact with it and wish to learn
about it. And so he went on a quest, to learn traditional
music. He need the source, Africa was hes first destination,
learning with Master drummers and understanding the
culture, he spent a few mounths there and when he came
back he travelled to Cuba and studied there, having four
lessons a day with different teachers on latin percussion.
Been in London, U.K. for a few years, and playing with
different musicians, took him to know Jazz and it was love
he fealt. Having all the knowledge in african and latin and
brazilian music, he blend it to the jazz scenario in London.
