Tom Griffin
Tom is a professional musician who seeks to pass on his knowledge and experience to others.
Tom has experience of many genres of wind playing including orchestral, wind band, marching band, wind quintet and other small ensembles as well as building a repertoire of solo works of which he has performed many infront of large concert audiences.
Over the past few years, Tom has had the honour of being able to assist enthusiastic amateur bands during their training weekends and have been asked to judge for competitions by the Traditional Youth Marching Bands Association (TYMBA).
He still studies to hone his own personal skills by receiving lessons from professional orchestral clarinettists from orchestras such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
In 2010, Tom completed a BMus(Hons) Degree which was attributed by Portsmouth University. This degree covered a wide range of music including work on the history of music, analysis of scores/recordings, composition/arranging, performance issues and a final hour long recital.
Tom has prior experience of tutoring young, old, male and female students at beginner levels and he wishes to pass on his ever increasing amount of knowledge to keen learners of any age or ability.

Tom's hourly rate includes travel fees within 40 miles of Exeter. If you would like tuition out of this area then an extra supplement will be payable to put towards his travel costs.
