Tony teaches Yoga in the tension-free style* inspired by Vanda Scaravelli, using gravity and the breath to rediscover and rejuvenate your back and joints. He teaches small classes in Redhill & Reigate, and gives private lessons throughout Surrey. He also runs retreats in Nerja, on the boundary of the Almijara Mountains and the Costa Del Sol. Classes are open to all levels of experience and emphasise individual attention. Tony also specialises in Children with Special Needs and back/joint problems. He is a naturally sympathetic teacher of long experience, and prefers to take an individual approach with students.

*The practice is a continuous exploration of the relationship between parts of the body, the ground and the space around us. It is about finding a wholeness of movement, coming from the spine, through the joints and bringing us back to the spine. We develop awareness so that we can feel more, impose less, and allow the intelligence of the body to reveal itself. Emphasis is not on achieving postures but using the breath to release tension. Undoing the grip of the big surface muscles invites core muscles to gradually assume deeper, more subtle control.

DIY Yoga... a gift from Vanda scaravelli

A course of six classes with Tony Parsons, aimed at encouraging self-practice.

Yoga was a gift from Vanda Scaravelli to her students. And it is a gift, from you to your body.

Everybody is different. Every body is different. Whatever body type you are. However experienced or not you are. Whatever physical issues you have. This course is for you.

Nobody can know your body better than you… this course will give you tools to enable you to become more aware of what your body needs, what your body likes.
Discover how your body responds when you do things it enjoys. Work with your body and allow your breath, with the help of gravity, to release tension and stress.
