Valerio Alessandri

I'm an Italian native speaker. After graduating in French and Chinese in Rome, Italy, I I have worked as a translator and teacher. I have taught Italian, English and French privately since graduating and I have enjoyed helping my students achieve their goals throughout the years.
I also have a diploma in music theory and sight reading and I am a musician myself. I am pursuing a career as singer/songwriter and I have had singing and piano lessons for years.

I love languages and linguistics, and I speak five languages in addition to my native Italian. I have a thorough knowledge of phonetics so I can help you improve your pronunciation in addition to teaching you the grammar and syntax of the language you want to learn. I have a flexible schedule and I am willing to travel to central and around London.

My teaching approach is informal and professional at the same time, and I try to merge the interests of the students with the learning of the language, deciding with them what kind of learning style we should adopt. That makes the teaching and the learning interesting and fun.

My students have been people of different backgrounds and nationalities (Chinese, English, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian and French, from 12 to 60 years old), so I understand quite easily the differences each different individual might have with a new language and I succeed in adapting to their own linguistic and cultural differences.
